Privacy Policy

Sankalpy is built privacy-first. We don't ask for your name or email, we don't show ads, we don't use third-party trackers, and we never sell your data. The list of apps and websites you choose to block never leaves your device.

Sankalpy ("we", "us") is an iOS application that helps you build time-boxed commitments and habits. This policy explains what data the app handles and why.

Account

Sankalpy uses anonymous sign-in. When you first open the app, an anonymous account is created for you so your data can sync. We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number.

Your content

The Sankalps, habits, to-dos, focus presets, focus sessions, and preferences (such as your chosen theme and app icon) that you create are stored in our secure backend (Supabase) so they persist and sync to your account. This data is tied only to your anonymous account identifier.

App & website blocking

When you choose to block apps or websites during a habit, that selection is handled entirely on your device using Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework. The identities of the apps and sites you select are represented by opaque tokens that stay on your device and are never transmitted to us.

Alarms

Habit alarms are scheduled locally on your device using Apple's AlarmKit. They run on-device and are not sent to any server.

• We don't serve advertising.
• We don't use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
• We don't sell or rent your personal data.
• We don't access your contacts, photos, microphone, or location.

Sankalpy only asks for a permission at the moment you use the feature that needs it:

• Screen Time / Family Controls— only if you turn on app & website blocking for a habit.
• Alarms (AlarmKit) — only if you enable an alarm on a timed habit.

You can decline any of these and continue using the rest of the app, and you can change them later in iOS Settings.

Your content is stored with our backend provider, Supabase, and protected by row-level security so it is accessible only through your account. Authentication tokens are stored securely in the iOS Keychain.

Your data is kept for as long as you use the app. You can delete your data from within the app, or request deletion of all data associated with your account by contacting us at the address below.

Sankalpy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
